Rachel Moir

Rachel joined IBioIC in May 2016 as a Project Manager. In June 2017, Rachel took on the position of IBioIC's Skills Programme Manager and is now responsible for developing and delivering training opportunities from HND - PhD level. As part of this role, Rachel is responsible for the operational management of the IBioIC CTP.

Since obtaining her MSci in Forensic and Analytical Chemistry and MSc in Environmental Studies, both from the University of Strathclyde, Rachel has gained over 10 years’ experience working as a project manager in the public, private and third sectors. This includes managing a programme of joint public and private sector scientific research projects for the third sector organisation SNIFFER; managing a £2million IT system implementation project within the education sector at SQA; and working on large infrastructure projects such as the M74 link and the Forth Replacement Crossing with a global engineering company.
In addition to project management experience, Rachel has also worked in a technical capacity as a commercial consultant with expertise in policy development, funding application, training delivery, waste management, contaminated land assessment, pollution control and environmental legislation.
